With our economy in the doldrums, and our faith in government at dismal levels, we are in dire need of candidates for public office who are truly willing to serve the public. No more clout. No more nepotism. No more undue influence. No more conflicts of interest. Just honest efficient public service. I offer myself as such a candidate.
For nearly 20 years, I have worked as a trial lawyer in DeKalb County. I handled every sort of criminal case imaginable, from the most serious crimes to the most minor infractions. I offer myself as a candidate for the office of DeKalb County State's Attorney so that I may bring all of my skills to bear to insure that our streets and schools as as safe as possible. My wife and three young children live here, and go to school here, so my motivation to perform at the highest level could not be greater. I am absolutely committed to ending the dangerous presense of street gangs in our county.
The challenges of government today are daunting. No longer can we look to the taxpayer to give us more money to do our jobs. We must find solutions that do not involve raising taxes. Innovation over taxation is the only solution. Massive expenditures like the proposed expansion of our historic DeKalb County Courthouse are examples of a local government that has lost touch with working families. This project is particularly offensive as it comes at a time when police officers are losing their jobs or being forced to accept pay freezes. Enough is enough.
I am personally asking for your vote on November 2nd. Join me in my effort to bring efficiency and accountability to our public institutions. Join me in my quest to make our schools and streets safer. Allow me to use my years of trial experience to finally end the dangerous presence of gangs in our county. Speak up. Make yourself heard. Your vote truly is your voice.
